Endoscopy

An endoscopy is an examination of the oesphagus, stomach and duodenum (first part of your small intestine) by a flexible tube that transmits images to a TV-type monitor. Through this procedure the Specialist can visualise the lining of the upper gastrointestinal tract, take biopsies, remove polyps, or perform therapeutic interventions for bleeding ulcers or blood vessels.
